    About Finance

    The Department of Finance is responsible for the overall financial management of the City. The department administers the City-wide operating budget and plays a key role in every financial transaction. Services provided by the department include fiscal oversight, accounting, analysis, debt management, investments, purchasing, result-based budgeting, risk management, cash handling, payroll, billing, collections, and municipal services. The Department operates under the direction of Andrew Green, Director of Finance.

    “To develop fiscal policies that ensure a financially strong and effective city government. To implement financial policies and procedures that are consistently monitored and reviewed to maintain the financial integrity of the City and its related agencies. To be responsible for the overall financial management of the City, the Finance Department ensures that generally accepted accounting standards are followed and appropriate internal controls are in place to safeguard City assets. The Finance Department also provides and maintains a secure and reliable technological infrastructure.”

  • Dog License Info

    Effective July 1, 2013, the City is working with the Pasadena Humane Society to collect and process dog license applications and fees. Pasadena’s current annual dog licensing fees are $16.07 for dogs who are either spayed or neutered and $31.11 for dogs not fixed.

    Dog owners should now bring their dog’s license application and rabies certificate directly to the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA, 361 South Raymond Ave., Pasadena, CA 91105.  The agency is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday through Friday; 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, and 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday.  They are closed on Mondays.  As an alternative, a new drop box will be available at City Hall’s Municipal Services Payment Office for easy payment drop-offs effective July 1.  The box will be checked and processed weekly by PHS licensing officers.
