Description: The design and construction, on a Design/Build Contract Basis for Work generally described as Project Number E12-03, Replacement Area at the Bob Hope Airport Fire Station Request for Proposal.
Pre-Bid: A pre-proposal meeting will be held on May 30, 2012, at 10:00AM at the Airport Engineering Offices located at 2800 Clybourn Ave., Burbank, CA.
Due: Proposals for Project Number E12-3, Replacement Area at the Bob Hope Airport Fire Station, are due no later than 2:05 p.m., June 14, 2012.

All bidders shall register with the Airport Engineering Department either via web site or in person. Certified Disadvantage Business Enterprises (DBE) and Small Business (SB) are encourage to submit proposals as well as the use of DBEs and SBs as subcontractor is also strongly encouraged.
Special Requirements: To be considered, the potential Contractor (Design/Builder) must have the appropriate licenses required under provisions of the California Business and Professions Code. All Design Consultants and Construction Subcontractors shall hold appropriate licenses for their design discipline and/or construction specialty. Failure of a Design/Builder to possess the required license(s) on the proposal deadline shall cause its proposal to be deemed non-responsive. Failure of the Design Consultant or Subcontractors to possess the required license on the proposal deadline will deem the proposal non-responsive. This project is subject to California prevailing wages.

Description: The Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Installation of new doors, new windows, air conditioning, insulation and correction of some code deficiencies for: Thirty (30) Single Family Residential Units.

Description: The Work in general consists of, but is not limited to, demolition of existing walkway and constructing a new accessible ramp bridging Buildings 9 & 10, raise concrete steps, install and automatic door, and establish an accessible path at the staff parking lot at the Bob Hope Airport

The Bob Hope Airport hereby extends an invitation to the nine (9) Prequalified and Eligible General Contractors
and to all interested contractors, consultants, vendors & suppliers to attend a Pre-Bid/Job Walk on February 2, 2012 at 10:00AM for Project E10-35-(I)-A. This meeting is mandatory for the Prequalified and Eligible General Contractors; it is not mandatory for potential subcontractors, subconsultants, vendors, suppliers; however, attendance is strongly encouraged.
