GET UP AND MOVING WITH PASADENA’S MAYOR!
Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard invites the community to join him for a
brisk, 3-mile morning walk around the Rose Bowl Stadium the first
Wednesday of every month at 7:45 a.m. as part of Up & Moving Pasadena.
Special guests, who are Pasadena residents or work in the community,
will walk as well:
Feb. 6 John Naber, Olympic gold
medal-winning swimmer
March 5 Larry Wilson, public editor of
Pasadena Star-News
April 2 Gale Anne Hurd, producer of the
“Terminator” movies and other films
May 7 Chris Vicino, acting police chief,
and Pasadena police officers
June 4 Barry Gordon, actor and talk-show
host
July 2 Dennis Downs, fire chief, and
Pasadena firefighters
Aug. 6 Dr. Charles Elachi, director of Jet
Propulsion Laboratory
Sept. 3 To be announced
Oct. 8 Jack Scott, California senator
Nov. 5 Dr. Jean-Lou Chameau, president of
Caltech, and Dr. Carol Carmichael, sustainability expert
Dec. 3 To be announced
Meet at Gate A at the Rose Bowl. Free parking is available. While
Bogaard leads the walk at a faster pace, all fitness levels will be
accommodated.
