PASADENA ARTS BUSES NOW SERVE BICYCLISTS
Bicyclists who want to use Pasadena Area Rapid Transit Service (ARTS)
for part of their journeys can count on the bus system to provide bike
racks on each of its 24 vehicles.
To enhance Pasadena’s appeal as a city where people can circulate
without cars, Pasadena ARTS has upgraded its entire bus fleet, which
provides public transportation on seven routes within city limits. Last
year Pasadena ARTS buses transported 1.7 million passengers.
The free bike racks can carry up to two bicycles each and are available
on a first-come, first-served basis. Instructions on how to use bus bike
racks are on all Pasadena ARTS buses and at
www.cityofpasadena.net/artsbus.
Pasadena also offers bicycle parking at more than 1,000 bike racks
throughout the city and provides more than 12 miles of bikeways.
Regular fare on Pasadena ARTS buses is 50¢; students in grades K-12,
senior citizens and persons with disabilities ride for 25¢.
For schedules, maps, bus stop lists and more information visit
www.cityofpasadena.net/artsbus or call (626) 744-4055.
