Improve,
Maintain and Enhance Public Facilities and Infrastructure
Investing
resources to improve our infrastructure is vital to the continued growth
and development of Pasadena. Whenever you drive on a city street, take a
stroll on a neighborhood sidewalk, have a picnic in a park or visit a
public library, you can’t help but notice that the City of Pasadena has
created public spaces and roadways that reflect the character of the
community.
A new capital plan for the Rose Bowl Stadium got underway to ensure its
financial stability and continuing status as a pre-eminent college
football stadium.
Robinson Park saw the completion of the first phase of expansion and
renovation, including a regulation-size football field – with artificial
turf and a soccer overlay – two baseball diamonds, new restrooms, a
concession stand, field lighting, electronic scoreboards, bleachers and
a storage building. Playground renovations were made at Grant, La
Pintoresca and Brenner parks, and new restrooms with higher standards
were completed at Jefferson, McDonald, Robinson, Singer and Villa parks. |
