The Pasadena Housing Resource Center, a collaboration of the City of Pasadena and the County of Los Angeles, is a new, online method for people to quickly and easily find moderately priced and below-rental-rate housing in Pasadena and throughout Los Angeles County. The free site at www.pasadenahousingsearch.com is especially helpful to Section 8 voucher holders who want to find landlords who accept the vouchers; and for housing locators who work with hard-to-place, special-needs clients.

Every Pasadena resident deserves access to decent, safe and affordable housing for their long-term well being and the stability of the community. With more than 500 Pasadena home mortgages in default, the City of Pasadena co-sponsored the Save Your Home workshop in March to help residents prevent foreclosure. Participants received home loan reviews and debt counseling by representatives from local lending institutions as well as guidance from representatives of the Housing Rights Center, L.A. County Tax Assessor’s Office and L.A. County Department of Consumer Affairs.
