Creating new and innovative ways to incorporate environmentally friendly initiatives is shaping the way the City of Pasadena operates. From greening our fleets to encouraging environmental stewardship, there were countless examples in 2009 of how we are moving toward a sustainable future.

Aggressive new Green City Pasadena strategies were adopted in 2009 to meet 40 percent of the city’s electricity needs with green power by 2020 and cut carbon dioxide emissions by 40 percent by 2020.
