The City of Pasadena's Artist Registry is an online resource for individuals, schools, arts organizations and others looking to buy art, to hire teaching artists for special programs or permanent employment, or to network with artists in the community. This directory also provides a free venue in which artists and arts organizations can promote their services and strengthen their visibility.

NEW!! Cultural Nexus Resource Corner at the Main Library

The Cultural Affairs division and the Arts & Culture Commission have established a resource corner of the Centennial Room at the Pasadena Main Library, 285 W. Walnut St. Materials and information pertaining to the upcoming Nexus Summit: Promoting Cultural Access and Inclusion in the Arts which will be held on March 5, 2008. The public is welcome to consult these documents in advance of the Summit to become familiar with some of the subjects that will be addressed at the event

Bridging Boundaries

 

On Saturday, December 15, from 3- 5 pm, the City of Pasadena and the Pasadena Arts & Culture Commission will hold an opening reception for the student art wall in the newly renovated Pasadena City Hall.  The exhibition will run from December 15 through the end of May, 2008

CULTURAL NEXUS

Beginning in February 2004, the City of Pasadena, led by the Cultural Affairs Division and Arts Commission, embarked on the Cultural Nexus (CNP).  The CNP will be Pasadena's first comprehensive cultural plan and will be largely developed through a series of town hall meetings and special workshops. 

 

The Second Annual Cultural Nexus Summit was just held on March 5, 2008 and focused on creating the next phase of Pasadena's Cultural Nexus plan: Promoting Cultural Access & Inclusion in the Arts.   Information in English or Spanish

"Wandering Eye" Traveling ArtFY 2008 - 2009 ANNUAL GRANTS PROGRAM

The Cultural Affairs Division is pleased to announce the 2008-2009 Annual Grant and Festival and Parade Grant Programs. This annual grants program is administered by the Cultural Affairs Division of the City of Pasadena on behalf of the Arts & Culture Commission, an appointed body of City Council.  The deadline for all categories is Monday, May 19, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. (delivery, not postmark).  Click here for guidelines and applications.  For all applicants (except Individual Artists) a Cultural Data Project profile will be required.  Please see below:

 

CULTURAL DATA PROJECT

Participation in the Cultural Data project will required for all organizations applying to the Pasadena 2008/2009 Annual Grant Program. The Cultural Data Project gives arts organizations a standardized application process that over time will enable them to track and analyze their financial and organizational data and compare the information with that of their peers.
