Spend Halloween night with a murder mystery dinner party… after the library closes! Put those Sherlock thinking hats on! Party revelers will explore the spooky corners of the library, hunt for clues, and use deductive skills to determine how, where, and who is the murderer. Costumes welcome. Teens only. The Pasadena Public Library’s Teen Center is pleased to host young creatives from the arts and design youth leadership exchange between Art Center College of Design and Blair High School. Teen designers will share their original comics, handmade zines, photography, personal stories, and a short film documentary. Come have fun, see cool stuff, and find out about what artists and designers do in the world. Youth mentors will answer any questions you may have about college or careers in the arts and design.

Tweens and Teens are invited to this Drinkable challenge, where you drink AND identify some of the weirdest, grossest soft drinks in the world. Get ready for the official SAT® by taking a practice test proctored and scored by C2 Education. Afterward you can pick up your test scores directly from C2 Education. There you will have a one-on-one meeting and receive tips on how to raise your scores and areas of the exam where you need to focus. Please bring pencils, calculator, and a snack.
Discover what admissions committees look for in a candidate. Pick up tips on topic selection through self-reflection and brainstorming exercises. Learn to structure your thoughts in an interesting and well-organized way. Learn how to revise your essay to create sophistication and depth.

A mixed media jewelry workshop with a Halloween theme! Learn wire wrapping, color theory, and jewelry finishing techniques while creating a fun piece of jewelry. All materials provided. Teens only.
