  • Children's Summer Reading Challenge - Read to the Rhythm!

    June 13 - August 8, 2015

Read to the Rhythm this summer by joining the Pasadena Public Library’s Children’s Summer Reading Challenge!  Play along with our game board and finish fun activities to earn prizes!  Every kid who finishes the challenge will receive a free paperback book (while supplies last).

    How to play

    1. Register for the Children's Summer Reading Challenge online: http://pasadenasr.evanced.info/
OR visit your local Pasadena Public Library branch to sign up
    2. Pick up your game board and starter bag of goodies at your local branch library
    3. Each time you read 30 minutes, color in a pair of dancing feet on your game board.
    4. Each time you complete an activity, color in a music note.
    5. When you reach a drum with the word “Prize” in it, visit your branch library to pick up your prize.  (Make sure to bring your game board in!)
    6. Want another way to win a prize?  Complete a book report form and bring it in to your branch to receive a temporary tattoo. (Hint: This also can count as an activity on your game board!)
    7. When you finish your game board you will receive a free paperback book to keep AND be entered in a drawing to win a giant stuffed animal friend.

    1. Children from birth to 6th grade are eligible to play.
    2. If you can’t read a book on your own, being read to counts!
    3. Only activities completed between June 13-August 7, 2015 count.
