    Presenting the Draft Concept Map! Community Forum Pic

    In June 2012, over 400 residents, business owners and other stakeholders attended a series of community forums to learn about the draft concept map and provide feedback:

    • Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Pasadena City College at 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
    • Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the Senior Center at 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

    Each forum included presentations on the concept map and how it protects neighborhoods and the environment, targets growth around transit and major intersections, creates compact walkable areas and fosters a healthy atmosphere for business. Exhibits included maps, illustrations, photographs and graphs showing impacts. People were able to break into smaller groups to learn more about how the plan affects the different planning areas throughout the city. Staff members wrote down peoples’ feedback on large flip chart pads and people were also able to fill out comment cards with their thoughts on the plan.

    In May 2012, staff also presented the draft concept plan as an informational item to the City Council, Planning Commission and Transportation Advisory Commission.
