About the Employee Relations Division

The Employee Relations Division:

• Ensures that the City embraces Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the related provisions of the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act
• Provides consultation on policy issues and applicable regulations
• Provides consultation on personnel conflicts and disciplinary matters
• Handles the City's unemployment insurance claims
• Maintains and updates the City Personnel Policy and Procedures Manual
