The 2009-2010 LA Opera Series will begin with a fun and informative talk on The Elixir of Love (L’elisir d’amore) on  Thursday, September 10 at 7 p.m. in Central Library’s Donald R. Wright Auditorium.  A melodrama in two acts by the Italian composer Gaetano Donizetti, The Elixir of Love is one of the most frequently performed of all Donizetti’s operas in North America.
