Comment Online About Future of Driving, Biking, Walking and Riding Transit

Pasadenans participated in four public workshops this fall as part of the update of the General Plan’s Mobility Element.

The workshops gave residents and business owners the opportunity to share their thoughts about the future of driving, biking, walking and riding transit in Pasadena.

Those who could not attend can still participate by submitting comments online. Background information and a brief questionnaire are now available at www.cityofpasadena.net/GeneralPlan/MobilityQuestionnaire. Planners want to hear about people’s experiences getting around Pasadena.

The General Plan is a guiding document for the city’s future composed of various chapters, or elements. Currently, the Land Use and Mobility Elements are being updated.

The input received from the workshops and online questionnaire will help shape transportation policies for a healthier and more economically vibrant community. In spring 2012, the draft plan with proposed policies will be presented to the community at another series of workshops.
