The ninth annual Pasadena Police Department Classic Car Show is Sunday, June 20, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Colorado Boulevard between Garfield and Marengo avenues. Admission to the public is free.
About 100 vintage and hot rod cars made from 1900 to 1974 will be on display. Trophies will be awarded for first place in several divisions with special recognition for best in show, people’s choice and police chief’s favorite.
There will also be live music, food booths, raffle prizes and an auction for a ride on a police helicopter.
Anyone interested in entering a vehicle in the car show may visit www.cityofpasadena.net/carshow (click on Registration). Entry fee is $20 per vehicle and entrants should arrive by 8 a.m.
Proceeds benefit the Police Activities League, a youth crime-prevention program, and Haven House, a home for battered women and their families.
